As the region ‘gets set’ for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, now is the perfect time to start planning so that your business and employees are ready.

With over one million spectators from around the globe expected to travel to the Games, there will be significant opportunities for local businesses to benefit. There will also be some impact on the local area, for which you need to be prepared.

Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa are playing host to two Commonwealth Games events in summer 2022: Victoria Park welcomes the Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls from 29th July to 6th August and Warwick sees the Women’s and Men’s Cycle Road Races on Sunday 7th August.

This one-hour online session will give you the opportunity to find out more about the impacts of these events on the local area and allow your business to Get Set for the Games.

Presentations will be given by the Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee, Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council. It will cover some of the exciting events taking place in the run-up to the Games from the Birmingham 2022 Festival and local Culture Fest, as well as information about the Live Sites in Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick where residents will be able to watch live coverage of the Games.
