WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

Coventry & Warwickshire Automotive and E-Mobility in spotlight

Invest Coventry & Warwickshire is taking a powerful message about the strengths of the region in automotive and battery R&D and development to a local and international automotive and e-mobility audience.

The FPC 2022 Future of Propulsion Conference returned to the National Motorcycle Museum after a two-year hiatus brought about by the pandemic. It was one of the last trade shows to take place in the Midlands before lockdown, and there was a strong turnout from exhibitors and delegates keen to network and promote their products and services.

The Future Propulsion Conference is an annual two-day UK event created to bring together industry and academic experts within the powertrain development field.

Invest Coventry & Warwickshire was there to promote the local supply chain strengths and key development projects like West Midlands Gigafactory, UK Battery Industrialisation Centre and MIRA Technology Park, South Site.

It was also an opportunity for our new colleague Craig Barnes to join us for his first trade show as part of the Invest team.

The conference is sponsored by local auto testing company AVL, based at Ansty Technology Park. Other local exhibitors included Lyra Electronics, Coventry University, Mahle, FEV and the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

Invest Coventry & Warwickshire will be next at the Battery Technology Expo taking place at Silverstone on May 12th. The Battery Tech Expo 2022 will bring together the latest technologies and services involved in the battery technology covering battery storage, battery management systems, fuel cell technology, lithium-ion batteries, and combines trade expo and speaker seminars.
