WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

A major Ultra Low Emission Vehicles event is coming to Warwickshire in October

A major event which will supply visitors with all the latest information and opportunities regarding Ultra-Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) will be held in Warwickshire in October.

The Greenfleet Business EV User Event, co-hosted by Warwickshire County Council and supported by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, will take place at Stoneleigh Park on October 25.

Many businesses are now actively considering investing in the next generation of ULEVs such as electric cars and vans. This event will provide a comprehensive update on new vehicles available and present the business case for transitioning to ULEVs.

It will also explore avenues of funding support available and give full information on all that Warwickshire County Council is doing to promote and support the sector. The county council's commitment to electric vehicles and ULEVS is enshrined in its Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Strategy 2017-2026 which is now in the Local Transport Plan.

"The Greenfleet Business EV User Event will bring together a range of organisations to offer businesses considering investing in electric vehicles or ULEVS all the information they need," said Warwickshire County Council head of transport and economy Mark Ryder. "The Coventry and Warwickshire region is renowned as a leader in this sector so this event will be a great opportunity for visitors to explore all that expertise together in one place at one time.

"At Warwickshire County Council we are committed to doing all we can to support companies in this sector and encouraging greater use of electric vehicles and ULEVS."

The event at Stoneleigh will provide an update on the latest EVs available, charging requirements and vehicle ranges including hybrid vehicles and new models coming to market.

It will also outline the business case for moving to ULEVs, covering leasing options and maintenance costs, with examples of real-life case studies and experiences from those already operating ULEV fleets.

There will be advice on funding support available while visitors will have an opportunity to test-drive electric and hybrid vehicles.

The event will also present a great opportunity to network
