WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

Helping Warwickshire’s young people gain experience in the workplace

Work experience is an invaluable tool to help shape today’s young people into tomorrow’s future.

The opportunity of work experience provides a great platform for young people to learn more about the workplace and the different types of roles, industries and careers available.

Too many young people in Warwickshire are missing out on workplace experiences because there aren’t enough being offered – which is a real missed opportunity for our local businesses to help shape the workforce of tomorrow.

If businesses like yours don’t do their bit, who will?

And flexible workplace experiences make it easier than ever for businesses to get involved. If you can’t commit to opening your doors to a young person for a week, you can offer a project experience for a day, invite a class in just for a few hours or attend an event supported by the Careers Hub.

Whatever works for you works for us, and will work for young people in Warwickshire, because every bit of meaningful exposure to the world of work prepares them for it.

So reach out to us – as your local Careers Hub – at careershub@warwickshire.gov.uk.

We’re also hosting two free events in January where you can meet our team, find out more about the benefits of work experience and the types of support we can offer to help you set this up.

  • South – UK Battery Industrialisation Centre - Tuesday 27th January - 9am - 11am presentation, tour and networking (tea/coffee and pastries). Book your ticket here
  • North - Eliot Park on Wednesday 28th January - 9am - 11am presentation and networking (tea/coffee and pastries). Book your ticket here

Flexible workplace experience - let’s make it work.
