Hello and welcome to the April edition of Warwickshire Means Business.
This month we are delighted to unveil the Strategic Economic Plan for Warwickshire 2024-2034. Compiling this Plan has been a true collaborative effort between ourselves, our friends at the districts and boroughs and other stakeholders in the county, and it sets out in detail our priorities and objectives for the next ten years.
The Plan revolves around three principal objectives - Ambitious Growth, Inclusive Growth, and Sustainable Growth – and is about sustaining Warwickshire’s strong economy but also much more. Sustainability and the wellbeing of all Warwickshire residents are front and centre.
Sustainability is also in focus as we launch a new bi-monthly section of Warwickshire Means Business. From now on we will bring regular updates on Sustainable Warwickshire and we start by listing the numerous schemes which can support businesses to become more sustainable.
Leamington is in focus in our Talk Up Our Towns section. We report the progress of the Transforming Leamington programme and hear about the inspiring way in which young people are having their say on the future of their town,
Bedworth is another town with exciting plans while we also report how expert support from Warwickshire Skills Hub is helping Warwick-based 3P Innovation fulfil its potential and how 13 companies are eyeing growth with the support of the Innovate UK Launchpad programme.
We look forward to another excellent Interactive Futures conference and reveal how ‘The Taste of Warwickshire’ will be sampled by national and international visitors at the NEC Farm Shop and Deli next month.
