Join the Network of Friends and be part of Child Friendly Warwickshire

Warwickshire businesses are invited to an event that will enable them to help shape the future of Warwickshire and be part of a network that is making it a Child Friendly Warwickshire.

The Network of Friends Celebration 2024 is an online event taking place from 2pm onwards on Thursday 16 May 2024.  It is an opportunity for businesses to hear about the Child Friendly Warwickshire programme and its network of nearly 200 businesses and organisations in Warwickshire – and how being more Child Friendly not only benefits the county’s young people but also has great rewards for the businesses themselves. 

Delegates will hear from the County Council’s Leader and Chief Executive – Cllr Izzi Seccombe and Monica Fogarty – about how Child Friendly Warwickshire has grown from its beginnings in 2021 to now, where its Network of Friends is now making links between businesses and the county’s young people across the whole of Warwickshire. 

This is an opportunity for existing friends as well as potential new ones to come together to learn about Child Friendly Warwickshire’s achievements as well as future ambitions and how to get involved. Friends will also share why they support the initiative and the impact the partnerships have on the county’s children and young people as well as the benefits to businesses and organisations. 

Chid Friendly Warwickshire is committed to supporting its Network of Friends; through promoting opportunities for work experience or apprenticeships, businesses can easily expand their reach to a whole new audience for recruitment. 

It also uses its ever-growing reach to showcase organisations’ Child Friendly activities such as Barclays Digital Eagles which has hosted employability sessions to over 250 young people in Warwickshire. 

By becoming a Friend, businesses can, in return, set inspiring examples, share information and encourage others to carry out Child Friendly activities.
