WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

Warwickshire Food & Drink Expo 2019 coming in March

A second ‘meet the buyer and supplier’ event for the Food & Drink industry in Warwickshire will be hosted at Warwick Racecourse on Thursday 7th March 2019.

The event, organised by Warwickshire County Council, aims to build on the quality and vibrancy of local produce. Following the very successful inaugural Food & Drink Expo in 2017, it will again promote the county's diverse offer in this sector to buyers from across the region and beyond.

A broad range of food and drink will be showcased at the event which will provide producers, including breweries, cheesemakers, chocolatiers and coffee artisans, with  a great opportunity to connect directly with buyers. The event aims to be a catalyst for producers to connect with important and potentially game-changing new customers such as high-quality visitor attractions, independent stockists, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels.

The Expo will encourage businesses to discover and use local produce and suppliers and also foster new working relationships within the industry.

Warwickshire County Council leader Cllr Izzi Seccombe said: “I am delighted that we are continuing to support this sector as an important contributor to the Tourism and Leisure industry in Warwickshire.

"Our inaugural event in 2017 was a real success and feedback from attendees was that they wanted to see more of these events to highlight the unique offer within the county and where we can showcase the specialist food and drink that we have.”

Registration is free to buyers and inexpensive for suppliers wishing to reserve one of the coveted exhibitors' places. For further details please refer to the event website www.warwick-food-and-drink.co.uk
