Young talent pipeline available to employers from Coventry University

Employers in Warwickshire looking to recruit talented young people have another option to explore with a scheme offered by Coventry University.

The Talent Team at the university is offering employers, SMEs and charities the opportunity to connect with them to access work-ready students and graduates from their business school and other faculties/course areas.

Their services are free of charge and offer support to employers in a range of ways. These include: active talent-matching for niche vacancies; CV sifting to aid pre-selection; free brand awareness activities; campus attraction through the university's curriculum/employability modules; general support with selection processes.

Among schemes available are:

*  Year-long placement/sandwich placement opportunities for students studying business and finance degrees. Hosting a full time intern in a role for nine-to-12 months from the summer of 2022-2023 with a view to offering the intern a graduate role when they finish studies in summer 2024.

*  Project internships for masters level students studying business and finance courses. Hosting a masters student on a consultancy project internship/business need area for eight-to-12 weeks from May 2022.

*  Fully funded internships (over the summer of 2022) for graduates who have finished studies from June 2022 - four-to-eight-week internships to support a business need over the summer with a view to seeking permanent staffing in the longer term.

*  Graduate opportunities and permanent staffing solutions (from May 2022). Hiring graduates to support early talent roles and creating a talent pipeline of fresh ideas and perspectives for the company.
