WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

'Improving Your Customer Footfall' course coming in February and March

A course designed to help business increase their customer footfall will be held by Warwickshire Towns Network early next year.

The ‘Improving Your Customer Footfall’ course will be held in Bedworth and Kenilworth in February and March.

There are 12 places available in each course which will run over four sessions, with businesses asked to commit to all the sessions.

The programme is being offered to all small independent retailers and high street businesses in towns and large villages across Warwickshire. The training is free to those who sign up and, in return, businesses are being asked to dedicate time and commitment in order to improve their business and the wider town centre offer.

Already, 169 businesses in total have been supported by the Warwickshire Towns Network training package since early 2017. All participants reported that they would recommend the programme to other businesses.

Alison Read from Decisions by Design, whose expertise is employed by businesses from the UK and Europe to China, recognises that it is not always easy for businesses to know how to begin looking to attract and retain new customers.

“Over the years I have worked with a lot of retailers who have good businesses but are so busy in the day-to-day running of the shop that they don’t take the time to seek out new ways of attracting new footfall," Alison said.

"This training gives them the skills and time away from the shop floor that are necessary to refresh and grow. This business growth then permeates into the town and high street -to support the local economy of Warwickshire.
