Prepare your business for the big day
With just a week or so to go, excitement is building for Warwickshire’s starring role in Stage Four of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men on Friday 5 September 2025.
As we shared last month, the race will begin in Atherstone and finish at the iconic Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, travelling through all five districts and boroughs along the way. This is a huge opportunity for Warwickshire – attracting visitors, showcasing our county on national TV, and providing a boost for local retail, hospitality and tourism businesses.
What you need to know
To ensure the safety of riders and spectators, there will be some unavoidable disruption:
- Rolling road closures will be in place along most of the 116-mile route. Roads will typically be closed for around 15 minutes whilst the cyclists pass through.
- Fixed road closures will be in place at the start in Atherstone and at the finish in Burton Dassett Hills Country Park for a longer period of time.
- Parking restrictions will apply in certain areas along the route to keep roads clear. Please check local signage and plan ahead.

Preparing your business
With increased visitors expected, now is the time to plan ahead:
- Make staff and customers aware of likely road closures and travel times.
- Think about delivery schedules and access to your premises.
- Consider how your business might take advantage of the extra footfall, whether through special offers, extended opening hours or themed displays.
- If you are sharing any photos of the event or celebration online, please use the hashtag #VisitWarwickshire and we’ll reshare where we can.
