WARWICKSHIRE MEANS BUSINESS

Businesses gather at Minerva Mill

Business owners, start-ups, and entrepreneurs from across Warwickshire gathered at Minerva Mill Innovation Centre for the Boost Your Business This Summer event – a free business advice and support session designed to help local enterprises refocus, recharge, and grow with confidence.

Organised by Vicky Griffith from the Rural Enterprise Hub, the event brought together a range of support agencies, all committed to empowering rural businesses with insights into the wide and varied support available – from practical advice and tailored guidance to access to fully funded resources.

Attendees were warmly welcomed by Vicky before hearing from key partners, including Kerry Smith (Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub), Heather Docksey (Warwickshire Skills Hub) and Saffron Medway (Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce).

Each representative shared valuable information on the free support, training, and funding opportunities available across the region. The session also included relaxed 1:1 discussions, allowing businesses to explore their individual needs, ask questions, and gain guidance tailored to their journey.

The event was well received by attendees, who praised its relevance, accessibility, and welcoming atmosphere. One business owner said: “The event was useful and informative. We got a lot out of the different presentations as we were not aware of that information previously. They gave us some insights about the actions to take now and in the future regarding business support and who to contact. It was a great networking opportunity, and some discussions and communications have started with different participants.”

Vicky Griffith, Rural Enterprise Hub Coordinator, added: “It was great to welcome so many members of the local business community. Events like this highlight the support that’s available across Warwickshire, whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow. Thank you to Kerry, Heather, and Saffron for sharing their time and expertise.”
