Turnover jumps £150m at tech giant

Turnover jumped by almost £150m at a technology giant which counts Airbus, BT and Stagecoach among its clients during its latest financial year, newly filed accounts have revealed.

Warwick-based Telent, which provides services to the defence, rail, traffic and public safety sectors, has posted a turnover of £542.4m for the year to 31 March 2019, up from £393.9m in the prior 12 months.

Rupert Hambro, the former chairman of Hambros Bank and Sipsmiths, has invested in a shareholding in Empress Ale which was created by Leamington Spa-based businessman Surj Virk in 2016.
